hi yes the hla135 is more powerful than the 65/66, and somewhat heavier. I use mine a lot. Mostly for tops of hedges. As I prefer non-long reach to trim the sides. On Yew today for example it cut further into the gnarly old growth than the 65/66 ever could. Makes a satisfying snapping sound when it demolishes the tougher bits. The 65/66 still useful for softer/ thinner material. But on more challenging stuff the HLA135 work rate is quicker. Mine began vibrating and feeling rough but someone on here gave me the tip to spray grease down inside the shaft
i despise the trigger set up, switches itself off after 5 seconds, i only use the top speed range setting (Level 3) but somehow keep shifting it to level 1, then have to toggle through Level 2, to 3 again. What a pain. If I was confident to rewire this I would. The chainsaws and HSA130 don't have this. Maybe because it's long reach it's considered more dangerous so needs the safety switch. Awful user unfriendly design. But apart from that a great machine
And it gives you a cooling breeze when you use it on hot days if you're right handed and wear shorts
Thanks Billy, appreciate the feedback.
And has anyone else used them that would like to share thier feelings on them too? Always useful to hear from a number of users if possible.
