Help with a painted decking

Evening all, I'm asking on behalf of an estate I work for. One of their tenanted properties has a large area of decking. It seems that the previous tenant used some sort of paint rather than a dedicated decking stain, which isn't budging with pressure washing. Presumably applying a new coat of decking stain will be a waste of time and money as it won't soak in. Any thoughts or ideas on what to do or use?I do know the estate have a petrol pressure washer so I'm assuming they used that, and not an electric one. Hope the above makes sense. It's not really my department but am reluctantly being involved as we are now doing quite a bit of work for the new tenants. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

  • maybe nitromors paint stripper as repeated pressure washing will end up degrading the wood

    • or re-paint it with a similar paint as per the previous treatment even, if its not worth the time stripping it

repaint it with boat deck paint - hardwearing and added grit for grip. I got some from Brewers paint merchants.

  • Thanks for the comments guys, I'll pass them on.
