  • I've had 48's but used 56's for a long time now . I've used lots of different brands , the main issues with Hayters is that the drives need servicing regularly . They also don't pick up well in the wet .

That said .. I still don't believe theres better mowers out there that will stripe a lawn for maintenance guys . Some guys around here are raving about the Viking and Stihl plastic mowers .. they  say be good but they look like they belong in Toytown !

    • hayters stripe the best no debate there. but i used the stihl rm655rs. their 21" roller. on youtube. its not a plastic deck the best bit is the plastic box which helps massivley collecting in the wet. however its miles off being the premiem mower for comfort like hayter.

the new harriers have a new drive system which should last years and not the one season like the 566's

  • I haven't got one but I speak to another guy that does, I was talking to him monday about it and he loves it, he's only got the 41 though, he used the kaaz for most his lawns.

    • Cheers guys. I have a client that has a Kubota that is from kaaz factory which picks up well in wet conditions and a friend of mine has a cobra also kaaz built, looks the same so presuming the same. Just they are a bit longer than Honda and hayter and I put mower in side door of my transit and it's a few cm to long so I was looking at hayter instead, I know I could fold top half of kaaz handles, but it's just the hassle of doing it every time.

      • If you raise the rear deck height adjustment right to the top before you put it in the van you lose a few cms off the length due to the angle

        • Sounds like you've done it before. Lol

        • I was thinking along the same lines as Dan, would a block of wood under the roller would help in the same way?

          • Should do. You'd need a "double" block, so the roller sits on some wood PLUS has a batten BEHIND it to keep it in place.
