robbie, type (scotts handy green) in ebay search, brought one of them 2 years ago, done over a 1000 lawns with it, and still going strong ! like the ad says them evergreen ones waste of time brought one first !!
Robbie, Dont waste your money on cheap fertiliser spreaders i use Trojan 30+ Spreader costing around £400 , its got greasing points on the wheels and heavy duty gear box also stainless steel frame , at the end of the day you get what you pay for
Just ordered scotts handy green, will keep you lot updated on what i think. I have a fair idea it won't be up to much, but want a way to fertilise very small areas without having to throw it out like chicken feed.
Rich I own an Antec 50, it's on it's last legs. I have had it for a number of years now...
Would like to replace it with another professional one like yours or the Scotts SR2000 (With the edge guard). But they are a tad expensive!
Is it true only the scotts one lets you control the width of the output through the cone setting?
you will be fine with the hand held,i use the sr2000 to makes easy work !!
I also use the cheap Scotts spreader for small areas, infact I use it on most lawns, the trick is to wash the spreader as often as possible 2-3 times a day
They do make a Pro version I have been told however quite expensive.
I buy them 2 at a time in case I bust one but at £10 a time they are great as long as you keep it washed.
i dont use the cheap type i find they crap !! used it once then slung it !! i use the pro type, they called handy green, well worth £32
Is this the one? Scotts Handy Spreader

yes, dont buy the cheap one !! there is some on ebay £32.50 type ,scotts handy green in ebay search and they will come up cheaper than pitchcare...
Took the plunge and ordered the Scotts SR2000 The link is from pitchcare, though I didn't buy it from there. My supplier did me a fantastic deal on it.
Keep us informed how you find it as I need to pick one up next week.
