As some of you will have read our previous posts on us revamping our tool kits, thought it may benefit others by mentioning Halfords Trade Card which gives varying discounts on everything. You don't know how much until you get to the till but have the option to not go ahead.
We bought a spanner and pliers set from their Advanced range, which has a genuine lifetime warranty - plenty of examples on the net of Halfords honouring the warranty without problem. The 2 sets came to £78 with the Trade card this was reduced to £58 , so a decent reduction.
Apply online , it seems easy to get accepted regardless , although there is a dropdown menu to choose your trade which is not exhaustive and we chose "other". The card has to be collected in store where supposedly the staff are supposed to ask for proof of trade in the form of either your business card or one of your invoices, we were not asked, anyway hope the info is some help.
