That's rubbish. Find builders who want what you've got to offer and price some jobs up. You'll soon find yourself on site if your prices please them!!
Are you just offering yourself or as a company supplying you plus staff ?. If your a company then you will need RAMS CSCS and probably higher insurance cover. Are you hard or soft scaping or just general labouring. We need more info than what youve posted to help you.

getting my smas accred this week, then my public lib insurance, just need a hand with the method statement and a risk assessment, already got my cscs, so its just a case of giving them this info then they will let my start pricing for them
So what kind of services are you offering up to them ?
By saying you want to 'get work on a building site' not sure whether you mean you are simply going for labouring on a self employed basis or as a company, taking on a whole project, eg top soiling, planting, turfing etc. If it is the latter, then the process could start with the proposed builder issuing of Bills of Tender, which go out when the builder originally prices for the work - in our game, usually a year before we would get on site. The builder would tell you what Insurance cover you would need - ours is £10m.
I take it you have some experience in landscaping - if not, don't bullsh*t, get some in before you get in too deep with site work - it can be tough and a bit stressful, working to deadlines with 101 other trades getting in your way, areas not being ready for you and dealing with what builders call 'good quality top soil'!! Having said that, we have landscaped many, many sites and I love the buzz you just don't get from private work......oh yes and the prices are usually good also.

sorry guys wasnt to clear to start with, im trying to get my company on the site, so i can then work on the new houses, its basically rotovating, turfing planting ect, ive not worked on sites before as a landscaper but i do have quiet a bit of experince, but im still not sure on what price to give them on turf sqm, so its all new to taking my company on the site and i dont want to get stung on the price
Lee, are you going in as a squad or just you ?. How many men ?.
Then you will need to provide RAMS for all the works you quote for, at some stage before you commence any works. Some companies want them supplied with your quote, some after.
Thanks brian, whats RAMS
