Prices do vary on these. Depends on the type as there are several different types and speed ratios ect. Some mower places will rebuild the internals, some just fit a complete new unit.
I do have a kubota 21" pro (virtually same as your lawnflite) for sale currently for £450, that had a rebuilt gearbox in the end of 2017, then never got used in 2018 as I bought a new machine.
Sometimes these come up on Ebay brandnew......... if you're reasonably mechanically minded, you can usually fix these up for under £100 and a mornings work.
I have now stripped it down and and got the roller and axle and gearbox off,but can't seem to get the rollers off the axle.
Any ideas?
I have tried hitting it,pulling it and throwing it but still can't get them apart
I'm guessing here that it's similar to the Kaaz............... so you've got the axle going through the centre of the rollers and the gearbox? I'm sure you've done this.......... you haven't left the "key" in the end of the axle shaft which would stop it pulling through? Otherwise I'd guess the axle has corroded onto the inner races of the roller bearings at each end. More brute force might be needed!! The axle should normally just pull out or at worst, light tapping with a hammer. .
