Gardening a safe way to make a living

HI just a thought but after years of using various garden eqipment  its easy to get very complacient .Earlier today i tripped over while moving a long a hedge with a running hedge cutter. Im lucky only to have a graised knee but could have fell on top of running blades if i had my hand on the trigger while falling. My point being you just never know . Stay safe every body.

  • i slipped on a ladder once and instinctively grabbed my hedge cutter handle, my hand gripping the accelerator. cut through thumb and 2 fingers but luckily didnt lose them, and then did the EXACT same thing 2 years later, the same fingers too lol

I fell off the side of a building while cleaning out the guttering,  got up and back up the ladder to finish the job. When I got back down the ladder the adrenaline had worn off and I couldn't walk  and used the ladders to balance against I managed to get into the van. Never knew pain like it. That was foir months off work but luckily it was winter, but it has stopped me climbing as I dont have the movement range in my hip anymore.
