Free Woodchips

Hello, I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Wayne and I run a tree care company based in Whitstable, Kent.
I have been swinging around in trees (on a professional basis) for nearly 16years now, we carry out tree care operations from plating to felling and all in between.
I've followed LJ on twitter for some time.

I'd like to put word out amongst the local East Kent based landscapers that we have a HUGE amount of woodchips. I'd like to offer them for free to y'all. All you have to do is bring your shovel(s) and trucks and it's yours....no strings. If you feel like leaving a few quid for a drink that's fine, but totally up to you.

Chips are at various stages of decay, from fresh through to almost compost. Separated hardwood and softwood. Any more info, give me a shout.

Hopefully you can make use.

Cheers

Wayne

  • That's very kind, shame I'm not slightly closer, Brentwood, Essex. If I need a big amount, I'll contact you and give you a good drink. When I say big amount I mean. 1/2-3\4 of my trailer. (9x4, fully high sided, but waiting to get the mesh sides, metal sheeted in, so one cannot see in.

Very kind offer to all there.

  • Wayne, get yourself a compact tractor with a loader and sell your woodchip. I sell loads of it.

  • depending on how much and how you store it, may be worth ringing stobarts biomass - they will buy - by the full lorry load - and if it doesnt have alot of bark or leaf material in all the better

  • that did not work right. what should have appeared is that i read recently that stobarts were only paying £3.50 per tone and you had to load it yourself and if you damaged there trailer when loading you will get a bill from them

  • Yes, that's what I'd heard. I'd rather give it away!!
