I am working near to an airfield where there is a big air display tomorrow. So far I have had free shows from the Battle of Britain fly past, the red arrows, spitfires dog fighting, Flying Fortress, two very big very noisy jet planes, and a dancing helicopter.Sometimes it's really hard to concentrate on this job (I have cut straighter lines in my career!). ;)

    Not Shuttleworth, is it? I was meant to be going with a bunch of Porsche Club mates, but have to work now!

    I went to college at shuttleworth, and when they where practicing for the shows it was a tad distracting.

    No not Shuttleworth, Duxford, the Imperial War Museum. Very impressive. During the summer we often get Spitfires flying overhead. That engine note is unmistakable.

    I know what you mean about the sound of the Rolls Royce Merlin Andy, our local airport is about a mile away and was a WW2 airfield and a few times a year, a Spitfire will zoom in low, then wheel away - everyone just stops and looks skyward.
