France bans pesticide usage in public parks and gardens

Yesterday the French Parliament passed legislation making it illegal to use phytosanitary products in all public green space, coming into effect in 2020.. This may seem quite radical, but in truth many green spaces in urban France had already stopped using these products.

It'll be interesting to see what happens as case study for pilot projects of the same elsewhere. But lets be honest it will never happen in England, but it will be interesting to see what the EU make of it, if anything.
