Fliers For The Mowerthon

In the Main Room tonight Phil Voice was on about the arrangements for his escapade in October. A lot of effort has been and will be expended on this journey and it strikes me that the return for Perennial, the gardener's charity, is not commensurate, even if LJN members finally come good and he reaches his target of £10,000. (He is nearing 30% of this at the moment.)

I suggested that if there were some 'gentle' fliers which we could download and print, these could be sent out with bills over the next couple of months, we could easily extend the pool of possible contributors by a considerable multiple. Other targets could be found for these fliers by other members, perhaps with retail outlets etc.

I assembled the elements I would like to see in a really simple leaflet, perhaps A5 size, below but I have no ability to turn these into a useable download. There is bound to be a computer Whizz, who can do this easily, and others might have suggestions for the contents.

Any takers?

    Hi John

    Sorry about the slow response.

I've been thinking about your fantastic idea and started playing about with photos etc and text.

It all started to get a bit complicated so I thought, why not just send out Etesia's press release?

LJN members can either print it off and send it to their clients with letters and invoices, add it to their own newsletters, print and send as a separate letter or email it as an attachment.

What do you think, is that a fair solution?

Here is a copy of Etesia's press release.

Feel free to modify it to suit but please leave a link to Etesia in as a thank you for their fantastic support.

Here are some photos to insert into the text or attach in an email

Where is the flyer? I can't see where to download it?

Sorry Nick. It didn't load because it's a large file.

Will try to host it somewhere else.

    Download the flier here: http://www.filedropper.com/2012-07mowerthonleafletforprint

  • It took a numpty like me a while to work out you don't need to register with filedropper to download the flier, but have got it now. Just the job - not too wordy, but enough to explain the basics. Well done to the creator. Will now pass them out to selected customers and send out with invoices. No additional pressure but sure some will make a donation.
