7yrs, that's good going. I think my two pairs of 7's lasted 4 years. I binned mine because I couldn't get the parts, brought pairs of 8's and 2's. Much cheaper, no need to worry about handle, although 7's are nice.
Treat yourself to some new one's.
You could try sending them for a service, only costs £25.00 and mine came back as good as new.
As Dave says send them off to Felco for a service I used this a few years ago & was pretty quick. I have a pair of 7's that are now redundent, sitting in the door well of the van since I started using Niwaki's. Amazing edge on them, nothing to go wrong & very satisfying to use as well.
