Feather Edge Fencing/Fitting

Evening all,

got a quick question for you. I'm due to take down, supply and fit some feather edge fencing. Concrete post are fine, but the Arris rails are rotten. Im searching for the name of the bolts/screws that go through the post into wood. Anyone help?

Thanks in advance

  • coach bolts?

  • As John says, coach bolts...................... they're the ones with the nut/washer at the end.   You might though be referring to "coach screws".................. these will screw into the wood rather than going all the way through fitting a nut/washer.

    • Hi Graham, thanks. This is exactly what i'm after :-)

  • If the concrete posts are morticed, you could try these

    • I always reckon they look hideous though............ I have used them occasionally  but painted them with brown Hammerite.

      • Can't argue with that, but for many the convenience and cost out ways the less than aesthetic looks
