Jeeez............... only in the good old US of A eh ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Scary. I carry a pocket knife on me but that's only for opening bags of compost and cutting trimmer line.
Just going through tomorrows van checklist.....mower ,strimmers, loppers,Glock, 27 bit ott but don't get many late payers!
I'd no more leave my Glock in the truck than my boots. If you need your gun, are you going to ask for a time out? By the time I get to my truck, I plan to be done with the gun and making an exit. Btw, I also leave a spare mag in the door of every vehicle I drive. First mag has to get you to the truck. During leaf season, it gets field stripped pretty much daily due to leaf debris. A good holster and the right pants make it easy to conceal any time of year
People always say how much good advice is available on LJN, so thought this nugget from the link was worth passing on!
BTW, Glock magazines can hold from about 15 to 30 rounds of ammo
Only in America! crazy....
Land of the free!
I loved this line though:
I've still got the vision of a bald coyote coming out of the woods surrounded by leaders of the Jewish faith.....how a simple spelling mistake can entirely change the point he was making!
But, we're also a land of the free, and as a nation we choose to carry a 'concealed weapon' 24/7/365. The ultimate means to deter the most extreme threat, the Trident submarine carrying 8 missiles and 40 nuclear warheads. Isn't that crazy?!!
Thankfully, we are far less seriously threatened in our day to day lives/livelihoods than our US cousins, so I fully understand why some law-abiding people over there should choose to employ the 'ultimate means to deter the most extreme threat'. Just as we do.
im surrounded by gun owners who use them for shooting game scaring birds off of the fields. i dont object to their owning guns but i do think they have been privileged beyond the average person with a deterrent that i wouldnt mind owning myself should someone choose to break into my rural home while asleep.
