Expansion into new cleaning

I'm hoping here for some experienced knowledge. I am debating expanding the company into new but related fields. Namely patio/driveway cleaning and gutter cleaning. I am aware of a number of different tools to do the job but before I spend money buying (I never lease) these items does anyone have experience good or bad with this market or particular brands of cleaner. Thanks in advance

  • To start with, hiring would be the answer and by gathering together a few jobs to be completed with the one hire, the cost would be minimal.  I feel that jet washing is part of an overall maintenance programme.

I had a go with one of those big karcher hot water pressure washers a few weeks back.
They are bloody brilliant. Shame they cost 3 grand
  • i bought petrol generated one for a few hundred not the best on market but still great water pressure its ideal when someone wants a small patio or some paving done as not always i have 2 or 3 to lump together for days hire of a machine. generally if i get a bigger drive or a few together i go and hire one.i dont see myself ever being busy enough with pressure cleaning to justify the costs of buying a top grade machine tho

I do a bit of this, and bought a Kracher K5 - it certainly makes short work of any situation I've come up against.....You don't want anything too powerful as it may damage grouting etc.
