Etesia Pro 51 v John Deere JX90

Hi

My current JX85 is still a very good mower although it is showing its age, and is slowing starting to give me problems. Earlier this year the left rear wheel kept jamming which resulted in a new cog which cost me £40! Now the other rear wheel is doing the same! Also with all the wet weather lately, its taking me an age to do the lawns - the bag keeps clogging, and it gets really frustrating.

I've heard how well Etesia mowers run in the wet, but are they that good? I've spoken to a local Etesia dealer who said that a John Deere JX90 will do as good a job in the wet as an Etesia, but cost about 2/3rds the price! He also said that the JX90 is not as sturdy, but if you can put up with the odd wheel falling off, you can save a few quid.

Thanks

  • I went off john deere mowers due to their flimsy build. The etesia is solid in comparison.

    Hi Sean,

I would love to know who the Etesia dealer is you spoke to, so that we can have a little chat.

It also goes to show you only get what you pay for, pay less and be prepared for things to fall off.

It dose'nt seem to be a very good recomendation from any dealer.

By all means feel free to email me directly your comments regarding the dealer rather than broadcast them over a public site.
