Etesia phts deck repair

My 2nd hand etesia phts arrived today, complete with a crack in the plastic deck. This was not mentioned so im a little peeved, but it was cheap at £220 and the rest of the mower looks ok.The cracked plastic protrudes a bit, i think if im careful i could tap it back into place without snapping it and making it into a hole. Its about 50p sized, looks like a stones hit hard.Do you think if i can tap it back flush then apply jb plastic weld it would hold ok?
