  • Will keep an eye out, although I suspect they won't be locally on full display! Not good to see anything going missing that near me....

  • bastards - ill bear it in mind. i hope you get a full claim from insurance and carry on ...

  • Sorry to hear that, will keep a look out
  • Hi Paul,

We are working on a site just off the A413 after the Deep Mill Diner.

Its worth keeping the eyes peeled as they may be parked up in a corner somewhere waiting to be moved on.

  • When i worked in retail many years ago my manager used to say that 70% of theft was from the back door. Is there anyone on site that makes you think hmmm.....?

  • Hi Mike,

Its more those that visit your site during the day that i would think hmmmm about.

We get guys popping in looking for scrap, trying to sell tools out of the van.

Due to the scale of this site, we are unaware of what is coming in and out of the site during the day as there are quite a few contractors working all with there own suppliers coming in and out in different areas.

I thought we were working far enough away from the builders not to be seen, but obviously not.

  • sorry to read this. it'#s gutting when these things happen.

even worse is when they wait a decent interval for you to replace the lost equipment and come back to repeat the crime. i hope you are able to guard against a repeat visit.

  • Peter, I honestly feel for you. As you may remember we had equipment, including a brand new skid steer and attachments, stolen from a site. I believe there was some connection with other people working on site but the police didn't care. Even if your insurance company pays up (ours didn't due to 'small print') you sill have the hassle of replacing the equipment, completing the job and all the extra work asituation like this creates. I hope it works out as best as it can.
