Hi everyone not been on here for a while ive been keeping busy.
I had an email with a job description attached the other week. I applied as I didnt have anything to lose I got an phone call the following day for an interview. Had a good interview then the following day I was offered the job. I accepted and in two weeks time I will be starting work for Pottinger UK there an Austrian company that make Agricultural Machinery.
As some of you know im from a farming background and still take an interest in farming and work on the farm in the summer. My role will be Agricultural machinery and parts dispatcher I will be sending parts and machinery out to dealers, liasing with the sales team and setting up shows and demonstrations. Im very pleased as it will be a varied job with scope for career progression.
To have a set wage and bonus plus holiday pay will be a relief not to mention weekends off and i'll enjoy the work. After 7 years of being self employed i'll certainly miss it but looking forward to my new role as part of a team.
I may even get more time to come on here to chat i've just moved house and had alot to sort out as well

Good luck in your new employment
Good luck Nic! All the best.
Thanks for the update Nic. I can understand the lure of permanent employment. Thanks for your support of LJN over the years and I hope you'll now have the time to pop in.
There's potentially some crossover with your new role and LJN.
All the best for the future.
Phil

I'm really pleased that my work/life experience has paid off and ive secured the job I cant wait to get started :)
I'm actually working at the yard next week clearing the side of the yard cutting self set ash trees and chipping them on a self employed basis and my new boss said if i get done in the early part of the week he would fill my week paying on a day rate doing other jobs so thats a possitive start already :)

Congratulations Nic
I can honestly say, the relief of being paid and not having to pay yourself is amazing, I changed my life in the same way this year and `I have so much more time to relax and spend with my family, the steady income is excellent, it helps you plan months ahead and not worry closer to your planned dates if you have the funds.
Well done chap
