If your after something light look at the honda izy range. Not commercial machines but pretty bullet proof.
I have a 18" etesia but it's still fairly heavy, and ive just bought a dirt cheap husqvarna 16" for a couple of tiny gardens.
Thanks Del. Much appreciated.
Forget electric. No good for customers as they may be out & not have power outside. You have 2 choices - petrol or battery.
Petrol mowers area lot heavier but more robust. Battery mowers are lighter with more choices becoming available. Ultimate choice depends on the number and size of lawns you will be cutting. We now use a battery mower for small lawns (Bosch Rotak 37LI) and a Hayter petrol mower for larger lawns. Both mowers have rollers to produce a nice striped finish. My wife lifts the bosch in & out of her car and I use a ramp to get the Hayter in & out.
How long does the Bosch battery last you John?
I trialed a Greenworks commercial 82v mower last year for the local council. I was very impressed. But batteries were something stupid like £400 and ran for 80mins. Recharged in about 40 mins though.
Thanks John. I actually meant battery. Hate cable mowers.
Honda Izy 416..cheapish (under £300), decent cut, cloth bag which wont take up much room in a car, folding handle, Reliable, lightish.
