Had one on demo we thought very unwieldy and uncomfortable, you probably won't be able to get a demo one but try one at the dealers with a battery fitted seemed very unbalanced to us. There are several you tube video reviews which may help. You may hsve seen our post on battery hedgecutters in general and what we want is not there. Sticking with our Echo semi long reach which are just ergonomic, reliable and adaptable machines, hardly ever use our long reach.
not tried one but would imagine the smaller capacity 2.5ah ego pack might provide better balance / lower overall weight as even those packs are pretty bulky
I've used ego power long reach hedge cutters for the past 4 years. I use 2.5mah batteries. I have two batteries so I can use one while the other is charging. The battery always charges quicker than the one on cutter runs down.
I found when I had a demo that any thing larger than a 2.5 battery unbalanced the cutter.
Keep the gearbox greased regularly and you won't have any problems.
