Is that the BH1001 harness? I have only used it with the commercial hedge trimmer but if i can find the adapter i'll try it out on my multi tool and report back.
James
Hi James, yes, it's the BH1001 harness. If you could find the adapter and try the multi-tool that'd be great! I've got my fingers crossed that I've just got a dodgy one, as I'd really like to connect it to the multi-tool.
Thanks
Sean
Just had a quick go as I was packing tools away. I had the hedge trimmer attachent on the multi-tool and one of my 5ah batteries in the backpack. Ran it for 5 minutes quickly over one of my hedges and it didn't stop. I do remember now that when i first bought the harness it did stall a couple of times and I had to re seat the battery into the connection for it to work, but it has not done it again since in all the time I have used it. For some reason I didn't think of using it with the multi-tool long reach so it might get a bit of use now if it continues to work!
James
Thanks for doing that, James! I'll give it another chance tomorrow before I take it back to the shop. 95% of my hedge cutting is done with the multi-tool and short hedge cutter attachment, it's not exactly heavy, but if the back pack works then it'd give my muscles a break this time of year - non-stop hedges are the moment!
Thanks again
Sean
Hi, did you manage to get it working or get a replacement? I have used it on a few hedges now and its worked with no problems.
James
Hi James, sorry, should have updated. Yes, I got it to work! I haven't put it to test at work yet, but it now stays on with the trigger pulled. I've got a full day cutting tomorrow, so that'll put it to the test.
Thanks again,
Sean
