Now in retirement mode and as previously.posted been looking for a cordless long reach and was going to buy something at the budget end,but as they all have the motor at the blade end making them very unbalanced along with slow blade speeds and very limited cutting capacity etc decided to go for a pro model.
The motor at the blade end is a deal breaker for me as even with the so called "balancing out" effect of the battery weight they all seem front end heavy.
So arrived at the Echo dhca 2600 with motor at battery end, always rated Echo kit highly from my business days and at not much over 5kg with a 2.5ah battery and 5yr domestic warranty decided to go with this
However I do like to handle kit before buying and no local Echo dealer has stock so has anyone got or used and can express their opinion?

an extremely rare machine, in the UK at least, I reckon
Plenty of uk dealers have stock but not near me!
that's as maybe, but actual users who have invested in it, maybe not so many.... perhaps some councils etc that are going green will buy multiple units, they certainly look a robust professional machine
May be worth waiting until November Peter and going to Saltex to try a few machines out .
Prob is sold all my kit with the business and hedges are desperate now
Have ordered the Echo DHCAS 2600 HD this is the slightly shorter version than the DHCA but a similar length to the Stihl HL92 CE comes in at 5.3kg with 2.5ah battery, had to buy blind as could not find one to try . Will report back as to what I think of it.
