Most of the main machinery providers have done similar and it's my understanding that most modern equipment should be fine as E10 been in mainstream use in Europe for years.
Is it compatable with Two stroke ? it might throw the mix ratio out or will ready mixed fuel still be available i wonder ?
I think that E5 will still be available as super unleaded.
Use super unleaded. That change over happened here about 2 years ago. A familiar tale heard was Carburettors started dying and couldn't be reconditioned successfully( my guy gave an example of 1 in every 5). In my own case even with a new carb.. the machine, long reach still hedgertrimmer, just gave up six months later. It was about 3 years old at the time. My garage guy couldn't explain it but said it was a recurring theme in regard to that petrol changeover Carburettor problem. The advice given here is ,if your using the machine ever day e.g.. a car then its ok but if a machine is to left up for a while or over the winter for example, then switch to the super and stay with it. I have had no problems since changing over... but for the price.
