DWP Universal Jobmatch

Has anyone tried using this to recruit staff? I've just set up an advert on it... I was hoping to be able to view people's CVs but you aren't able to, obviously I can understand why, but that would have been useful. Instead you get a list of figures based on "complex mathematical formula" telling you how suited people are to the position and the option to invite them to apply.

Has anyone had many applications using this route - what is the quality of the candidates like? I'm guessing there may be a fair few people just going through the motions of applying because they have to, but it seems like a good idea in principle.

  • Thanks Doug, another avenue to explore in the demand for employing people. It seems a popular topic currently and a very positive sign for our industries too.

I will also 'have a go' and submit for recruitment but it would definitely be good to know of any other experiences from LJN'ers.

    Cheers, Eugene

  • I have to say it's probably one of the least user-friendly websites I have ever used...it's as if they've deliberately made it a puzzle as to how to get any result from it whatsoever. I shall keep trying.

  • ummm, ok, I'm not encouraged but will still give it a go. Thanks for the update Doug.

I sometimes wonder (even hope) that a diligent Government official might take note of the 'feedback' left here on LJN via the WWW....and acknowledge it.

    Living in hope lol,

    Cheers, Eugene

I used an agency last time....

I have always used the job centre in the past but there is a lot of rubbish (sorry, applications) you have to go through. If you state that all applicants must have a CRB or pay themselves to have one carried out this sorts out a lot of time wasters. I always refund the £25 after they pass the probationary period.
