Driveway advice

Hi All

Just been out to look at a driveway and have a bit of a first for us, the water meter is on the pavement in line with the proposed driveway. The ground is very steep (down to house)  where the drive is and excavation would take us down to pipe level for sure, although we have not cat scanned it as of yet. What is the procedure with a water metre? presumably its water board and an expensive application sort of thing. Incredible really after nearly ten years we havent come across this before!

Any advice on how to go about it would be great

Thanks Again

Graham

  • the pipe on house side  of stop cock is home owners responsibility, no need to ask water co. i doubt you will be digging down to touch the pipe even with the slope as it will still be approx 600mm or more deep.even if you do find it and need to lower it, turn water off cut pipe insert new pipe turn water back on simple job. till you find it if you find i would not get to worried
