Desktop Planner

I have just been looking for a desktop planner to install on my desktop on my computer but cant seem to find one that can be used easily or is free.
I usually use an A5 Diary with 2 pages covering a week as it is easy to add start dates for jobs and what needs to be done on the day etc.

So was wondering if anyone has one they use other than the calender in outlook which I dont like for adding jobs to etc as you have to put times for start and finish and be quite specific also it doesnt open up stright away to give a quick and easy reference when looking at computer.

Google calenders are free, easy to use and very clear. Gmail also has a simply little pop-up tasks list in conjunction with the calender.
  • Thanks Philip I am now trying to use Google calenders in connection with Outlook as they can be sync and canthen sync with my phone too.

    Thanks again

Mozilla Sunbird looks to be a good desktop planner (can be synced with Google Calendar as well I think).
  • I am likeing the google one, especially as it can send reminders to my phone too.

    Thanks
  • I also use the google calendar, i have all my regular work setup on it, its ideal because you can set repeats for weekly, fortnightly, monthly etc and get it to email or text you the days work, i have it set to email me the day before and then i always do a quick check first thing in the morning for other email and this just reminds me at the same time.
I print out two months worth of jobs back to back on a sheet of A4 and then this goes in my normal week to view diary so its always to hand for a quick glance. I use the normal diary for day to day stuff and then any work booked in gets added to the google calendar that evening or at weekend, 'simples' :-)

Just going to bump this one, started to use google calendar - Its bloody brilliant.

Before i go to work in the morning make a to do list for the day on the pc, hit refresh on the phone and its there too.

Someone calls me with a job and I add it I add it on my phone.

At the end of the day, I use it to track what i have done and plan the next day.
