Hand drawing is an option but in todays garden design business environment it would make sense to learn / be proficient with software design programmes such as sketch up for presentation etc .
I am a bit old school so hand sketching / plans works when required , sketches can look very creative and imaginative especially if done using oil pastels . Can even accompany a software plan giving an organic appeal and raise a smile , Also i am a big fan of mood boards if going down this route .
If sketching comes naturally its a nice approach . If not then practice there are youtube demonstrations which can be easily followed obviously you wont produce a scaled drawing but perhaps something pleasing to the eye . check out mukta easy drawing gardens on youtube but software should be mastered in my opinion .
I was thinking the same John, I plan to try to learn sketch up alongside my RHS course. At the minute I'm struggling to master the basic site survey! Thanks again.
