Not my specific line of business but if I were collecting bags/bins of punters "green waste" I would watch out for rocks, soil, bits of metal / plastic etc contaminating it. Some people are ignorant or just don't care. If bagging loose waste and it's relatively thin branches, a powerful hedge trimmer can attack the pile to chop into smaller pieces so it fits into bags, reducing the volume. Also I find a set of battery powered secateurs relatively rapid and less hard work than loppers on pieces the hedge trimmer might struggle on
My best advice is don't take other people's waste, the bags are just filled.with anything and everything which you will then have to sort through as there's no way you can tip it at a green waste site.
If you want to do that then no bags just loose stuff then you can see what's there.
Tipper van best vehicle with high sides.
Personally I'd do regular work rather than that there are less head aches and I usually achieve around £500 per.day on my own that should be enough for anyone in this line of work that's a 1 man.band
I wouldn't want to be doing just garden clearances... it's hard work. Try and make just a part of your offering together with general grounds or garden maintenance.
You will need an upper tier waste carriers licence if you are just collecting some of the waste i.e. not waste you have generated yourself.. ie.you have to pay for it.
