  • I cut posts before I put fence up, meaning I measure hole depth if I can't get it down a minimum 0f 18".I cut wooden posts with chainsaw and put uncut end in ground.disc cut concrete posts.
  • Like Ken, I now cut them to size, using a handsaw, before the post is concreted into place.......................... so much easier to get a good square cut.

  • Yup, cut them before they go in, bit of loose concrete in the bottom of the hole and tap them to correct height.
