We've got the stihl one and it saves alot of time and effort compared to hoeing, as long as it's been turned before or its nice soil. Turns an hours work into 10 minutes. On hard unturned soil it will tickle the top inch.
I can second that. I use mine with the kombi130 and there's plenty enough grunt. Theyre great for tilling new beds, before planting bulbs, shrubs etc.really speed things up. On bone hard ground though, different story, you have to really keep it in one place or else loosen the ground with a fork or mattock first.
The wee mantis machines take some beating in my mind but a bit bulkier than just an attachment.
The Mantis is a remarkable machine. Mine is 20 years old & still so useful. Makes a good scrifier too.
