A few questions regarding these health and safety training cards.

Just looking to know if those business employing staff require their employees to have their own card before commencing employment with you?

Or do you provide a day off work, and pay the course fee for your employees?

And if you do pay for the course fee for the employee, would you expect the employee to pay you back a sliding scale percentage should they hand in their notice the next week / month / year?

I guess the same question could be applied for any training course / up-skilling provided by the employer.

Any thoughts welcome.

Yes I would pay for the staff to take the relavant qualification and yes I would expect them to pay it back on a sliding scale if they were to leave my employment.

If you do intend to draw it back if / when they leave, make sure you have that written into their contracts, or do a sub-contract to it if you already have one with them and CLEARLY STATE IT.

I HAVE SHELLED OUT THOUSANDS ON TRAINING FOR PEOPLE I THOUGHT I COULD TRUST TO STAY WITH ME, trust me, their is NO long term loyalty from employees, none.
