Countax and Westwood (they are the same) do a specific mulching deck (around £500 2nd hand). You need to check the year of your model as I think some of the connecting fittings may vary. With a normal deck, I have previuosly, on the right job, left the sweeper on and took the basket off and flick the cuttings into the air to distribute them further. You can't do this on a formal lawn but it depends on the quiality you are going for.
they are a differant deck and if i rember right you need a different size drive belt

Mulching decks have different baffles/deck shape. Some makes do mulching kits, of which the main component is the extra metal work bolted to the deck. I fitted a mulching kit on my JD Z535m. The underside of the deck was radically altered. The mulching blades won't work properly just on their own.
Each blade is far more individually enclosed on a mulching deck, so maybe a degree of fabrication, copied form a similar deck designed for mulching, would work just as well. That is if a mulching kit is unavailable for your deck.
