  • Thanks ProGard, helpful response as ever!
  • Have a look around Fred's site Sweetpea, he tests out all sorts of lightweight gardening equipment and diy tools. Here he is reviewing the Bosch and Gtech trimmers - both with the lithium-ion batteries - and links to Amazon with customer reviews.
  • Hi all

I always use Fred to find reviews for my tools because he tests ones that are relevant to me - ie light and lady-useful. If you buy through his links you help him fund the site, and I find his reviews balanced and witty. I agree that the Bosch with lithium battery would be the best way for you to go Sweetpea, otherwise check out enviromower. Their cordless strimmer has been excellent on one of my bigger gardens, although you have to rest the shoulder after 10 mins use!!!!
