composting on a large scale needs mecanical plant as it needs turning every month for it to work quickly and properley if you have to do it by hand its hard work and time comsuming
are they hoping to sell it or is it don on site and spread later
if you read up on commercial hot composting i think the time frame is really really quick. I think the key is machinery to finely shred all materials -- then the size of the heaps is absolutely key -- cant remeber exact heights but the width to tapered height is key -- then the turning times is vital. After that i think you go from raw products to finished product in 14-30 days -- its very fast and gets very hot - a lot of nutrients will be lost but you get the same product as the counicils create. It really isnt the same time frame or product as traditional composting but works well.
