Composite decking materials feedback please?

Any more/recent feedback on good composite decking materials please?

I've seen other threads on here, hollow vs solid etc. If possible I would like to hear from anyone with relevant experience of these materials (i.e.from contractors as well as suppliers).

Ideally I'm after;
A non-grooved board
Non-slip (one of the projects I'm looking at using it for is in the shade)
It looks like a hardwood - Grooved 'softwood-like' boards aren't really my cup o'tea.
Eco-friendly if at all possible
Great workability
And it weathers really well.
Can be used for cladding

Thanks in advance.

Sam.

  • I've had quite a complex deck installed involving curved steps. Used Millboard solid boards. Very easy to cut and work with. The screws completely disappear from view when they're sunk a few mms down, the top just closes in around the screwhead. Good grip.... no slipperiness at all. Where it cuts, looks the same colour so no problem there. Was used to "clad" the side of the decking frame at one point and looked fine. Don't know how it will weather though it has a long guarantee. They do quite a few different finishes including hardwood though we had something called driftwood. They also do a course grain version of the various finishes.

  • Have you looked at Saige Decking?
    A few of our customers have used their products and the feedback has been good so far.
