components coming from china

saw this morning that JCB are cutting the working week in the factory because of a shortage of components coming from china

this may have a effect on garden machinery as in shortage of spare parts or even to buy new as a lot of the brands use components from china

Reckon the ‘grey’ spares aftermarket - especially on platforms like eBay - must be taking a hit at the moment, but you’re right many manufacturers outsource to China - Stihl for instance...

Short term, suggest there’s enough spares stock around but it will start to restrict availability of new gear if this goes on for a long time....

potentially this will have more impact than any Brexit issues
