Hi,
I've received a couple of calls from companies down London asking me to do fixed price grass cutting jobs at properties they have an interest in, in the Aberdeen area. They were asking me to do cuts for £20. They provided the addresses and on checking I advised it would cost a lot more, never heard from them again.
Then today I received another similar call asking for me to quote on a job, they said I evidenced on the price, then they take a 30% cut.
It all sounded a bit dodgy, especially as the call came in from a mobile number. Anyway they emailed me the clients details. Having their domain name from the email address, and formerly being an IT expert for 14 years, I checked up on the business. The domain has only been registered 6 days ago, and is supposed to be registered to a private, non trading individual.
This person also has a similar domain for painting and decorating businesses. It all appears a bit strange. Has anyone else in the Scotland area been contacted by this company offering work?

That sounds like a chancer trying to make some money for nothing simply by registering a domain name and making some calls.
