Cleaning blocked sprayer nozzles

I do my fair share of spraying and although I always run my water through filters the inevitable always happens - blocked nozzles...

I tried a few different things, like a paint brush, tins of compressed air (Used to clean PC's) but my most successful item used to date is very thin guitar string

  • I try to at least once a fortnight or so, (IE when i remember to) to dismantle the sprayer end and clean it, takes about 5 mins, then I leave it to dry and re-assemble next day.

I find this helps alot, epseically stoping those blockages in the nozzle end which are a buildup of tiny crap bits.

  • Hi Robbie

You can always try rinsing your sprayer out with some All Clear too. It will neutralise and dissolve any remaining pesticide residues and these are often the cause of blocked nozzles. Let me know if you need some and I can get it to you on a next day basis.

Currently have 4 different sprayers all used for different tasks.

Hard surfaces / Selective herbicide / Total herbicide / Insecticide

I will have to make an effort to strip them all down once a month and clean them. Ollie thanks for the offer I already have some All Clear in my chem store :)
