Hi all, I'm wondering if any landscapers here have branched out (or considered it) into selling Christmas trees to cover quieter month of December?

We have run an online ordering for home delivery Christmas service in Edinburgh - edinburghchristmastrees.com - for nearly 20 years now, and am always looking for help with deliveries etc - landscapers are perfect fit for this as they often have underutilised labour and vehicles at that time of year. If anybody is looking for work in Edinburgh this year, let me know.

We are also keen to replicate the model in other locations, ideally partnering with local landscaping businesses. Essentially we would supply the website and all the online ordering infrastructure and admin, SEO etc, local partner fulfills the orders on the ground.

Derby and Maidstone are good examples of the kind of locations that would work quite well. Reasonable sized towns, with good local Chirstmas tree farms fairly close to prime delivery area.

The local website can be branded to promote your landscape business and customer emails can be used to cross promote your landscaping business as well after Christmas, and vice versa. Margins are very high on Christmas trees, and it is a good repeat business product.
