So you won't be buying any new machines then?
You will be extremely unlikely to find any machine out there that has no parts from China.
also having lived in China I think you may be surprised to find that 99% of Chinese are good people. They live under the iron fist of the government.
You won't be buying much then!! I don't for one moment blame the Chinese for the virus.... OK, it started there but.they didn't "create" it on purpose and something similar could just as easily have started in any other country.... even the UK. How do you know they covered up the number of deaths?......... unless you were out there counting them :) They'll be back exporting their goods to us all in the next few months and we'll happily be buying their products which are generally speaking, good quality at a good price. There won't be an "export ban".......can you imagine the repercussions if you tried to implement that. Even my "genuine" Stihl carb I recently purchased was made in China and I suspect a lot of other components are.
i bet you have machines that have got Chinese parts in them, most of the garden machines have had Chinese components in them for years
It's not just machinery. Most electronic items including mobile phones will be either made in China, or have a substantial number of components sourced from China.
So, all I'll say is good luck with that viewpoint!
There are still plenty of things which are not made in China and have no Chinese made components in them either. These items however tend to be high end products. I have some higher end hifi gear. You will not find Chinese components in any of it.
My amplifier for example was built in Salisbury. It is from a long established and highly respected company called Naim. Companies such as these operate on a quality first and high cost, high quality component approach, which is why the products are so expensive and so good.
So if anyone wants to avoid Chinese made products, and I make no judgement on whether you should or shouldn’t, then it is easy to do so, at a cost. You will get a better product though. You make your own choices.
If you've got a Naim amp your hourly rate must be top dollar 😉
It is.
I've got a Chord DAC also.
Very nice Vic
