I thought it was 8-8 never like to be to noisy before 9 on a weekend myself
Not sure of regs, but personally I wouldn't start up before 8am and maybe 9am at weekends(not that I ever work Sat or Sun!) Just manners really and not upsetting the natives!
I can see you're a bit grumpy Andrew, first thing in the morning lol!! Would have thought you might have a bit of empathy with them starting work so early :-)

Does anyone alter their times due to the seasons as well ?
depends on where you are but built up areas is around 8am
I have used my pellenc chainsaw before 7.30 in the morning without any problems. It was last summer though and I was trying to get some work done before the temperature went off the scale.
Must admit my pet hate is excessive noise first thing 7 ish in the morning. I always thought it was 8 in the days of me working on building sites.
Its always on a weekend or your day off when someone wants to start up, ha ha. I don't know the official law but its a bit antisocial to be doing that racket so early in built up areas in my opinion.
