Chafer grubs

Hello all,

I have discovered either Chafer grubs or Leather jackets in a customers lawn this morning and have never dealt with this problem before. Any advice on what to do would be much appreciated. I know a little about Nematodes but am hoping that the expertise on LJN will help me out once again.

Many thanks

Jim

The approvals for pesticide products that treat the larvae have been withdrawn. Nematodes offer the only legal option for tretament - they come in packs and commercially they treat 500m2 but its important to identify exactly which grub as the nematodes are specific to the pest - hence Nemasys G or Nemasys J. Soil needs to be moist and kept damp and the nematodes can be kept in the fridge (storage) for upto 3 weeks....

There are trials going on for Rigel (garlic spray) on leatherjackets but nothing officially approved yet - give us a bell to discuss options..?
