Gary have you hired one to see if they suit you.
I did just that last year, from Parkhurst. West Molesey way. Not that many available for hire.
Just an idea, have a look at some Vehicle Auction Sites, my local Council Wealden use Iveco and Brighton Council use Transit caged tippers, you might get some ideas from the pictures.
I am in the same predicament and would also like to buy a cage.
But be careful on the type of cage though Gary as they tend to weigh a lot and can make the van close to its legal limit without any waste on.
I'm thinking on having some ply fitted to the side of the van and having the ply treated and sign written so it doesn't look so tatty.
Useful. Ta.
No Van hire company round our way have any caged tippers on their fleets - just normal cabstars, transits etc.
I'm being 'pressured' into getting a Cabstar or similar with a gated cage on top as next vehicle ;-)
