Does it have to have a roller, I'm using mine less and less and I'm using my 16 izy more and more! So much I'm probably going to sell on my weibang pro 48 do to lack of use. If I was you , and you really need a roller mower I'd buy a year old honda hrx as apposed to a cheap end new mower.
Unfortunately it has to roller, the few lawns I do now are all elderly people and they want stripes. When I used my 4 wheel mower they all pretty much complained ! I am troubled with buying used again because some sellers are not that honest and within a short time I was buying spares on a weekly basis. Guess like buying a used anything, no guarantees of it not falling apart after a few weeks. I will go search a year old honda. 👍
Contact your local mower/agricultural dealer and see what they have available as reconditioned second hand. They have many private customers that insist on buying commercial type mowers and changing them on a regular basis.
Hi Joey, I had the Cobra RM46SPBR for 2 years as my second mower that would get used maybe at around 10 gardens per week. I found it to be more than good enough for that volume of work. Obviously it has limitations and the collection in the wet isn't fantastic as you would expect, but I can happily recommend for the volume you need it for. Just my experience but hope it helps. Can't do anything about the steel deck though sorry!!
Hi thank you for the reply. It's good to know from someone who as used a Cobra. The Viking is brilliant wet cutting but to be fair I'm a fair weather gardener these days and the Viking does my head in with how slow it has become, even after new parts. I'm gonna go check out the Cobras as not read so far anything too bad for the price they are. Reckon it will fit my needs. Many thanks 👍
No personal experience, but my machinary repair man is very positive about the domestic cobra mowers.
+1.....^^^ as cheap little mowers go the Cobra RM46SPBR is a good one, I use it for some small gardens, it’s held together well for 3 seasons, will be buying another one for this coming season. Also it bagged better than both my Honda 21” roller mower and my Hayter 48 in the wet... it’s a simple mower that does the job it’s asked... good luck
