If only for small areas, say upto 500sqm then a hand sreader will be a good choice:

Holds about 2.5-3kg when full, so thats good for 100sqm. You'll need to use smaller granule ferts 1-3mm say. But easy to use, can be very accurate if you know lawn size, and obviously a lot less than a pedestrian spreader.
Andrew, thanks but need something for around 20 kg
Why may I ask if its for only small lawns?
For 20kg, then I used one of these as my first machine for a few years before upgrading to the ICL/Scotts ones. Was very happy with it.

Andrew, should have been more specific on areas we needed it for, a small lawn to us is around 1000 Square Mt's as we are primarily commercial contractors.
Yes looked at the Earthway 2150 but it seems unavailable from uk suppliers apart from Amazon at £540 !! Reading the reviews on Amazon com , the American site everyone saying nightmare to assemble ?
I would highly recommend this spreader, might just be out of stock till season commences. Dead easy to assemble just follow the instructions. Pitchcare , Agrigem, Progreen all possible stockists.
We love our green ones and have one on each van, also have used the earth way and was good...
I have this Cobra spreader

I found it a nightmare to put together. Plus if you don't thoroughly clean it after each use the fert can cause what looks like rust spots on the chrome work below the hopper. Other than that. It's a good spreader and not to expensive
