I've seen a lot of news stories about various caterpillars, often in the south of England, and local councils always seem keen to note their presence.
Might be worth just checking that wherever you are working the council knows about the nests.

these are retail parks , I believe they are going to have them sprayed its the hairs that cause very nasty rashes ,my Brother went to hospital because of them last year
