Good evening,

Could I have some advice on the removal of this for a specific job. Its around 30 Metres wide by 100 Metres long......

We are getting it down with Long Handled Hedge Cutters/ Brush Cutters however I would like to explore spraying it if anyone can suggest a chemical.

I am PA qualified.....

Cheers,

Ben

If you have large stems drill them and add some glyphosate, cover to stop wildlife getting in

How wide is the access? Ped Flail or ride on brushcutter (etesia atillia AS motor sherpa etc.) would be ridiculously more effective than doing it by hand.

    Hi Ben,

Your best results are from spraying onto new leaf so chopping down and waiting for active growth are going to show best results - FLAIL 2 is a fantastic product on bramble/ nettle etc. Just think about replanting timeframes or whatever is planned for the area after treatment.

For ivy - try Ecoplugs for thick stems - cut down low, drill and hammer in or a strong solution of glyphosate/ water painted on stem. Foliar spray again will work best during spring on new leaves.
