Yes recently found them on gardens in Great Kingshill and also Great Hampden. Some have Box plants have suffered box caterpillar and Box blight, double whammy!!
I had some in Gt. Missenden last year. I was warned by a neighbouring gardener that they had spotted some again a couple of weeks ago, I now routinely spray with Xentari and this has done the trick.
We spotted for the first time last week in Radnage which is close to Stokenchurch.
None of you too far away from my sites then, one in the Hughenden Valley, and one in West Wycombe
Wiped out so many Box in S E Essex. I have been spraying and managed to keep most at bay on our jobs, but not so lucky with a couple of 'fortnightly's'.
Progreen recommended their product Bruco to me. I applied it last night tank mixed with seaweed for a feed. I'll let you know how I get on. I think I've caught it early so not too much damage yet.
It was a stunning sunset on the estate last night. Just a shame I was there that late because of the box caterpillar moths! Would hate to loose this box hedging!
We've been using Bruco with good results. Hardest part is accurately measuring it out!
Thanks Nick that's good to hear. Ha yeah, my wife wasn't too pleased when she realised I had taken the kitchen scales and some tuppeware to weigh it out last night! But it was easy enough to mix once measured out.
The Boxwood societies map of outbreaks in the UK -- id imagine its far far worse that reported but people do seem to regularly report and update it
